It was a perfect spring afternoon as we arrived to Hummingbird House in Manchaca, TX. Desert plants and sand made up the centerpieces, and cactus themed touches could be found all throughout the lush garden setting. The bride’s shoes had prickly pears to show off her TX roots, and the guest favors were cactus shaped cookies with O & G initials. If you haven’t seen Hummingbird House’s ceremony site, it’s immaculate in every way. The ‘LOVE’ flower wall at the entrance is a feature you won’t forget. Olivia and Greg are sweet folks who fell in love when they were just kids. Love was in the air, and Olivia looked like a dream in her lace gown. Her portrait in the bridal suite is one of our favorites from that day. Her bridesmaids were wearing shades of purple which complimented the bow tie of their beloved Schnauzer, Lenny. Classic rock played through the groom’s room where he and his groomsmen relaxed and threw a few back. A lovely garden ceremony under the ivy altar was followed by one of the most lively receptions we’ve ever seen. Shinyribs kept the party going all night, and there wasn’t a guest in their seat as they played hit after hit. The father of the bride joined in and made a special appearance onstage to sing and play guitar on “One Way Out,” among some other classics. It was a perfect celebration for these two and we were thrilled to be a part of it.
