For this city couple, downtown Austin was the inspiration for their big day. The wedding was on historic 6th Street at a venue called The Waller Ballroom. There was a food truck with breakfast tacos, lawn games on the patio, succulents for center pieces, and craft brews from local Austin breweries. Every detail down to the programs had a little Austin vibe.
Shelby started bridal prep at The Hilton Hotel right around the corner from Waller Ballroom on 6th St. Her elegant ivory dress had intricate beading on the back with buttons all the way down, and best of all it included pockets which came in good use for tissues during the ceremony. After prep, the bride and her bridesmaids posed for photos and enjoyed a few drinks at a little bar called Waller Creek Pub. Meanwhile, the groom and groomsmen finished up getting ready and took their photos right around the venue. As the sun began to set, guests found their seats and the ceremony began.
After the ceremony, it was time for more photos. The lush ivy wall at Easy Tiger, a bake shop and beer garden across the street, made for a great backdrop for some of Shelby and Matt’s creative session. And it wouldn’t be an Austin theme without a mural photo for the happy couple. At the reception, the guests had fun playing ‘The Shoe Game’ and in true Austin style, live music played late into the night.
